Fairytale Fashion
As Fairytales make their way back into Hollywood, we begin to see fashion heading into a more "whimsical" direction.
I love the Snow White and the Huntsman inspiration found on the streets of NYFW! The mix of a dress with a flirty length, thick belt and spiked necklace gives off the perfect badass, edgy, and sexy look, a look that I truly die for. Which is your favorite look??
THANKSGIVING!!!
Sorry to not have posted for a while but I've been spending these last few days indulging in the joy of Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers :-)
This year I was blessed with being able to celebrate Thanksgiving FOUR TIMES!! Yup, that's right, four times I got to stuff my fat face with delicious food.
The first dinner was on Tuesday with my amazing roommate. She made us some double stuffed potatoes filled with broccoli and butter, thick juicy turkey, breaded broccoli, and cranberry sauce. Let's not forget the apple crisp for dessert and Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider!!! -- Probably my favorite drink in the world-- It was absolutely delicious.

The next celebration was more of a lunch that occurred Thursday morning with my boyfriend and his family over at La Cremaillere in Bedford, NY. This was place was great. The food was delicious, the decor classic and charming and exceptionally fancy. It was clearly a place for the rich and fabulous to delight in.

The third celebration was on Thursday night right after we got back from lunch with my boyfriend's family. We rushed home to my father's house to celebrate with him, my younger siblings, and my grandparents. Here we delighted ourselves in some sweet potatoes, sliced baked apples, breaded strings beans, corn bread, coleslaw and for dessert cookies and brownies. I was just about as stuffed as could be. Unfortunately I didn't get to take pictures of the food because we all ate it so fast :-)
The last celebration was by far the largest celebration I attended this week, which is usually the case when it comes to my mothers feasts. I was surrounded by family and friends with a guest list of about 17 people. And boy did we feast! My mom made the best, and I mean THE BEST, turkey I have ever sunk my teeth into. It was so juicy and amazing, I was truly impressed. And it's no celebration with my mothers family unless there is the infamous Coquito, a Puerto Rican "eggnog" sort of drink made with condensed milk, coconut milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and the most important ingredient, Bacardi Rum White. Amamzing!!!
The food just never stopped coming!!

Winston's Champagne Bar
Nothing says class like a nice glass of champagne. For one of my dear friends 21st birthday we decided to make a trip to Winston's Champagne Bar. Located on Park and 29th and hidden behind a pair of large glass doors this sultry lounge like environment is the perfect place for a romantic night out, a classy gathering of friends, or a "just because" situation. The two floor railroad style bar encompassed the elegance and sophistication one would expect from a "champagne bar."With dimmed chandelier lighting, candle lit tables, and an incredible yet subtle floral aroma, Winston's made for a wonderful treat. The welcoming staff treated us to several bottles for the occasion allowing us to sample some of their large collection of champagne. To continue with the theme the music played is an assortment of "old school sophistication" including some old 70's soul you hear sampled by many hip hop artists today. About five different times I thought I was about to hear some Notorious B.I.G. to soon find out that it was the original song that B.I.G. sampled. I enjoyed Winston's very much and recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of NYC glam. But with elegance comes a high price, so be prepared to spend.

Not November Weather
Great ideas on how to keep yourself stylish yet warm in this weird - not November - weather. Not that I'm complaining or anything... I truly hate the cold, unless I get to enjoy it indoors with a great movie, a warm cup of hot cocoa, cuddling under some blankets with my boyfriend and our dog. But other than that the cold weather can just past by me for all I care. Wrap sweaters, long cardigans, thick scarves, all perfect additions to your fall collection.

Inglot Cosmetics
So a few weeks ago on one of my many shopping trips I ventured over to Macy's and fell upon Inglot cosmetics. What grabbed my attention was the large selection of colors in their lipsticks, nail polishes and their eye shadows. I've never seen such a layout as this.
Created in Poland Inglot offers a large variety of colors with a price comparable to that of MAC. What set them totally apart from MAC was a new system they've created called the freedom palette which allows you to select an assortment of products in different color and sizes to create a palette that suits you, whether it be a mix of a face powder, blush, and eyeshawdows, a palette full of just lip products, or any mixture you can think of.
At that particular moment I didn't actually purchase anything but Inglot definitely was on my mind. After doing some research I found out that there was actually an Inglot store located on 47th and Broadway so I decided I would pay them a visit. I left extremely happy with my purchases and ended up meeting a very well versed Inglot employee who, unlike many employees I have come across at other make up stores, actually knew what he was talking about.
Here are some pictures of my newest additions to my forever growing collection.
Products from left to right
- Inglot Pressed Powder in 15
- Inglot AMC Multicolour System Highlighting Powder in 89
- Inglot Cream Concealer in 23
Feel free to check out the Inglot website I promise you won't be disappointed. The quality of these products are actually amazing and the color you see is the color you get.

Go DJ
After a year of knowing Emacey and spending countless hours obsessing over music together I finally got to hear him DJ. He played at this great bar Sweet and Vicious (located on Spring and Elizabeth) with two of his close DJ friends Crimson Collar and Natey8. Not only was this bar absolutely amazing but the music was to die for. This trio of house/electro/dubstep DJ's is a feast in itself. They had the crowd dancing within seconds. Nothing could stop them, not even a blown fuse, which of course happened within an hour, but as any professional knows, the show must go on. And it certainly did. Luckily they were able to fix the problem and had the bar bumping in no time. This was definitely one of the best nights I've had in a while. Can't wait to hear them again!

The Fashion Hash
If you know anything about fashion blogs then you know who this is!! That's right ladies and gents it's the infamous creator of The Fashion Hash, Hannah. I met Hannah last year on halloween and although it's been WAY too long since I've seen her, our reunion was, for lack of better words, quite adventurous. Sporting an all black sequined dress and a beautiful quilted Chanel bag this girl knows how to leave a long-lasting impression.
Fingers crossed I hope to be doing some more work with her soon!!
Check out her blog ^^^, I promise you'll get a (fashion) high unlike any other
Maxi
Finally got myself a new maxi skirt. This is probably the most comfortable skirt I have ever owned. Paired with my new leopard wedges and pink crop top this outfit is comfortable while giving off the perfect edgy boho feel. As accessories I decided to amp up the boho feel a bit with a simple gold cuff, a bronzed collar necklace, and my favorite large black gemstone ring.

Fairest Nude
Nude pumps paired with a vintage Chanel and a cream blazer leaves you with a look thats timeless, effortless, and elegant. I've been finding myself to be obsessed with cream blazers lately. I think it's the perfect twist to a classic piece. It adds a bit of youth and class and isn't as overplayed as black. It's fresh and stylish, just make sure you choose white wine at dinner instead of red :-)
Pink Cloud
"I fell off my pink cloud with a thud"
- Elizabeth Taylor
Decided to add some color into my mostly black wardrobe with this really cute pink top from H&M. I finally went shopping yesterday and the shirt and shoes are just some of the things that I picked up. The shoes are surprisingly comfortable being $10, who doesn't love a good sale!!! Paired with my favorite True Religion pants I find this outfit to be one of my new favs.
Pink Top - H&M
Black Pants - True Religion
Black Wedges - Afaze (believe it or not I got these suckers for $10)
Elephant Necklace - Forever 21
