Artist & Fleas has hit Chelsea Market. Until Dec 31st Chelsea Market will welcome some of Brooklyn's best indie designers and artists. I fell upon this today sadly realizing that there are only 2 more days left of this amazing event! I feel in love with so many pieces here and found some amazing jewelry that I MUST get my hands on. Some designers featured that I simply adore are Sna$h Jewlery, Stern Design Works, and Evolving Habitat. If you love creative pieces, vintage clothing, and leather bags you will love this place. There's only two more days left!! It's open from 10:30am to 7:30pm so if you're in the city the next two days make sure to head over to Chelsea Market!

Accessory Heaven
OMG! This lovely set of jewelry was graciously given to me for the holidays by my boyfriends cousin Ann Peerce. She's a great jewelry designer who actually teaches every once in a while at FIT (my college!). During her holiday party this year she pulled me aside and led me to a room filled with bags of jewelry and told me to take whatever I wanted! Once I picked my pieces she continued to hand me more so this is what I came home with. I'm obsessed with so many of these pieces like the feather necklace, the rhinestone hoops, and this incredible gold bracelet with a leopard print detail. I'm so excited to wear all of these!
Late Xmas :-)
Sorry that I haven't been around for a while. For the early holidays my mom took the kids and I to Mexicoooo!! This was our second year in Mexico along with the second time staying at the Sandos Hotel near Playa Del Carmen. I freakin love that place. We went snorkeling, fish ate out of my hands it was insane. We even visited a Mexican synagogue for the first night of Hanukkah. And this year Santa (yes I celebrate Christmakkah) rewarded me with an absolutely amazing Christmas present that, for the sake of keeping it's purity, I shall not mention. :-) But let's just say it arrived all the way from Geneva.
Well anywho, after I returned from Mexico I was welcomed home by my lovely boyfriend which I enjoyed, considering I hadn't seen or talked to him during my trip, and I was finally reunited with my incredible little dog!!
The next day I celebrated Xmas Eve at my grandmothers house in New Jersey where I indulged in too much coquito, hey it's the holidays :-), and received some nice presents from the family. Later that night I went with Ian, my boyfriend, to a family Xmas Eve party made up entirely of Jews, love it!! This is the part that I'm really excited about. In fact I'm so excited I'm gonna put it in it's own post.
Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!

Fun. We Are Young, Song Of The Day 12/15/11
If you are a fan of Glee, then you probably know this song from last weeks episode. The Glee version is incredible but it really got me interested in the original. So I found it :-) Here it is!! Gotta say, I really do love this song... but this video... noooot so much.
Enjoy!!

Early Xmas Present
So I decided to treat myself to a little something for the holidays. I've recently discovered the joy and excitement of EBay!! I've been obsessing over the MAC Hello Kitty collection since hmm... forever, but of course I got into make up after the collection had passed so the only way I can get my hands on it is through EBay or a Cosmetics Outlet which do not exist in NYC. When I discovered that this adorable travel brush set was available for bid I HAD to get my hands on it. Proud to say that I won this lovely set for $7.00!! It finally arrived today so I thought I would share my excitement with the world!

Arizona Muse for Tom Ford
Vogue Paris's new cover girl Arizona Muse photographed by the ever so talented Emily Weiss from Into The Gloss, featuring Tom Ford's newest makeup collection. Arizona rocks a blue smudged smokey eye using
TF Eye Color Quad in Cobalt Rush lined with Noir Absolute for Eyes Gel Liner paired with a bright red Ultra Shine Lip Gloss in Lost Cherry. To contour and highlight her cheeks and nose a light sweep of Shade and Illuminate is dusted on. Arizona knows how to rock the edgy chic look perfectly with her boyish choppy bob. Love everything about this beauty shoot!!

November Favorites 2011
These are my absolute most favorite products that I've been using this month!!
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle |
I love to use this as my highlighter. I dust a little bit over the bridge of my nose and on the high points of my cheeks under my eyes. It gives the perfect glow but be careful because if you put too much it can make your face look like a glitter bomb went off.
Revlon Custom Creations Liquid Foundations in Medium |
Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette |
Who doesn't love this palette. This is the best every day eyeshadow palette out there. The colors are incredibly wearable and you can create a countless number of looks. Sooo happy I finally got my hands on this.
Make Up For Ever High Definition Translucent Powder |
Inglot Pressed Powder in Shade 15 |
I'm a new lover of Inglot Cosmetics. This powder is great. It sets my foundation beautifully giving me an airbrushed look and the color matches my skin perfectly. It's not a cakey powder which I love so I can build it up for a little extra coverage without having to worry about the horrifying "Cake Face."
Benefit Hoola Bronzer |
This has become my favorite bronzer of all time. The fact that it's matte makes it look very natural. It's great for medium skin tones and gives an extra glow to the face. I like to swirl this on my hairline, the hollows of my cheek, the sides of my nose and a bit under my neck. It gives a more defined look and keeps you looking naturally tan without looking orange.
Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark-Circle Roller |
Inglot Cream Concealer in Shade 23 |
Bite Lip Pencil in Pomegranate |
That's it for my November favorites. Hope you guys enjoyed it :-)!!

Fairytale Fashion
As Fairytales make their way back into Hollywood, we begin to see fashion heading into a more "whimsical" direction.
I love the Snow White and the Huntsman inspiration found on the streets of NYFW! The mix of a dress with a flirty length, thick belt and spiked necklace gives off the perfect badass, edgy, and sexy look, a look that I truly die for. Which is your favorite look??
THANKSGIVING!!!
Sorry to not have posted for a while but I've been spending these last few days indulging in the joy of Thanksgiving dinner and leftovers :-)
This year I was blessed with being able to celebrate Thanksgiving FOUR TIMES!! Yup, that's right, four times I got to stuff my fat face with delicious food.
The first dinner was on Tuesday with my amazing roommate. She made us some double stuffed potatoes filled with broccoli and butter, thick juicy turkey, breaded broccoli, and cranberry sauce. Let's not forget the apple crisp for dessert and Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider!!! -- Probably my favorite drink in the world-- It was absolutely delicious.
Thanksgiving Dinner With Amanda |
The next celebration was more of a lunch that occurred Thursday morning with my boyfriend and his family over at La Cremaillere in Bedford, NY. This was place was great. The food was delicious, the decor classic and charming and exceptionally fancy. It was clearly a place for the rich and fabulous to delight in.
La Cremaillere Restaurant |
The third celebration was on Thursday night right after we got back from lunch with my boyfriend's family. We rushed home to my father's house to celebrate with him, my younger siblings, and my grandparents. Here we delighted ourselves in some sweet potatoes, sliced baked apples, breaded strings beans, corn bread, coleslaw and for dessert cookies and brownies. I was just about as stuffed as could be. Unfortunately I didn't get to take pictures of the food because we all ate it so fast :-)
The last celebration was by far the largest celebration I attended this week, which is usually the case when it comes to my mothers feasts. I was surrounded by family and friends with a guest list of about 17 people. And boy did we feast! My mom made the best, and I mean THE BEST, turkey I have ever sunk my teeth into. It was so juicy and amazing, I was truly impressed. And it's no celebration with my mothers family unless there is the infamous Coquito, a Puerto Rican "eggnog" sort of drink made with condensed milk, coconut milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and the most important ingredient, Bacardi Rum White. Amamzing!!!
The food just never stopped coming!!
