Manicure Monday

All summer I've been trying to find the perfect peach colored nail polish. It wasn't until I walked into Bed Bath & Beyond randomly and wandered to the beauty section that I found this beauty. I was able to pick this guy up at a discounted price too which softened the deal. I just couldn't resist!

I haven't really tried out too many Revlon nail polishes, but I gotta say the wear was nicer than I expected. The color was very opaque and only took two coats to get an even color distribution. This has quickly become one of my summer go to colors.

March Haul

Here's a little snap of my latest purchases. Before I left to Puerto Rico I had to make a couple of repurchases for some items that I had used up like the Anastasia Brow Wiz, Benefit They're Real mascara, Josie Maran Argan Oil, and Michael Kors leg shine. These are all product favorites of mine.

As for the new products I picked up, I actually only purchased a few new items - the rest were free samples I received, here's a quick list

1. Maybelline instant age rewind concealer
2. Facial brush
3. Jordana Black eyeliner

Samples I received
1. Sephora primer
2. Gucci guilty perfume
3. Fresh grapefruit perfume
4. Smash box full exposure mascara
5. MUF smokey lash mascara
6. Moisturizer

Not My Home Sweet Home

So lately I've been having a bit of an obsession with interior design. As a college student living in NYC it's very likely that you'll end up spending top dollar for an apartment that can hardly house half of your shoe collection. But no matter how small or old the apartment there are ways to make your apartment look like a million bucks. So I thought I would throw together a little compilation of inspiring houses, maybe I'll be inspired enough to redecorate again.

Haul

After weeks of denying my endless desire to spend all my pay checks at Sephora and MAC, I finally gave in and decided to treat myself a little. Best decision ever!!! I picked up some great new products as well as some of my old favorites and I couldn't be happier.

I don't know where I've been lately but for some reason I had no idea about the wonders of MAC's Fix+. I've been an avid MAC enthusiast since forever but for some reason never understood the hype and this product. But now I do! This is now my all time favorite setting spray. It leaves the perfect dewey finish and keeps my makeup looking fresh all day.

I've been hearing a lot of get things about Eyeko which made its way over to the US not too long ago. I was easily coaxed into picking up the mascara and skinny eyeliner and I gotta say they are pretty great. Granted Benefits They're Real mascara is still my #1 mascara but Eyeko might be a close second. It provides nice full dramatic lashes and doesn't leave your lashes feeling dry or flaky.

As for the skinny eyeliner, this might be my new everyday eyeliner. I have the tendency to have really watery eyes in the winter, I'm not sure if it's due to the wind, the cold, or a combination of the two, but my eyeliner always seems to cry off within a matter of seconds when I'm outside. The Eyeko skinny liner might be the first eyeliner that I've tried in a really long time that seems to last through my random tears and stays on strong all day.

I also decided to spoil my brows during this Sephora trip and picked up some Anastasia brow products. I got another brow powder set which has been my favorite for about 4 years now. What I'm most excited about are the brow wiz pencil and highlighter duo pencil. At first I thought the brow wiz pencil was going to be a rip off because it was so skinny and seemed to not have a lot of product, but I stand corrected. A small amount goes a very long way. It's perfect for filling in my brows and giving them a clean edge. The highlighter duo is a great finishing touch and really makes my brows look nice and polished while still remaining natural looking.

As for the rest of the products I bought, they pretty much speak for themselves. I finally got my hands on the Urban Decay Naked mini palette, of course I've been using it everyday. As for the Laura Mericer tinted moisturizer, this has been my go to tinted moisturizer for a few years now and I love it. I decided it was time to give my by skin a little break from heavy foundations and switch to something a little more natural looking.

Ok that's it for my long ass rant about makeup. Sorry I haven't been around as much but hopefully this amazing iPad my incredible boyfriend got me will help me keep more up to date with everything, but I've got some pretty exciting stuff going on soon so fingers crossed! Happy Tuesday!!
